Events

ALM’s Ministries leads and participates in a number of events throughout the year. One example is the Inside Out service held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford. The service was held in the summer every third Sunday of the month for the past two years, drawing up to five hundred or more participants to each service.  These services provided much needed health and employment information and services for parents, while providing children with a back-to-school outlet and numerous giveaways.

This year, (2022) a similar but much larger service was held at Grace Baptist Church in Waterbury, CT. There we led Motivated By Grace, an event developed through Grace Baptist Church and Big Bold and Beautiful productions that drew up to a thousand people from the church community. This event provided health, housing employment, pardon and parole and other services.

Many ask why there are so many giveaways. Our answer is we will save more in the long run by keeping someone out of prison or by preventing health disparities that kill Black people disproportionately, robbing children of an opportunity to grow and flourish.
